Challenge, the: Short-time work

1. April, 2020

The situation surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic poses challenges for employers and employees alike. We are all faced with many questions, from “Should I put my employees on short-time work?” to “How do I design my home office?”. The important thing here is to have a top-running system in the background – crisis or not.

We at Coredat help and want to support you: Working from home is no problem for our customers anyway, we have been offering all applications in the web browser and on the smartphone for years – so everyone can record their times at home without any additional effort. And we are also already prepared for short-time work in our time recording and payroll accounting. In the past few days, we have worked intensively on this and have already implemented two common variants of the short-time work regulation:

  1. The current balances will be frozen or the employees will receive a corresponding short-time work model with which the lost hours for the AMS can be determined.
  2. A new pot of “short-time working time” has been introduced, in which the hours accrued are kept independently of existing balances. Of course, it is also possible to determine the lost hours here.

Of course, we can also implement adjustments to flexitime agreements and new company agreements with regard to short-time work at short notice. We stay on the ball.

Due to the current situation, we all have to be very flexible and work together to get companies through this difficult time so that jobs are preserved. We at Coredat therefore work every day to offer the flexibility that is now necessary for our products. You can rely on that.
